Performance Venues

Expo 2020’s expansive entertainment program spanned the entirety of the site, comprising a remarkable total of 10 venues. These venues included the iconic Al Wasl Plaza, two festival stages, one convention centre, five smaller entertainment stages, and one versatile hybrid broadcast venue.

As integral members of the Woodroffe Bassett team, Ptarmigan assumed responsibility for the comprehensive technical design of all these venues.

Furthermore, our responsibilities extended to leading the on-site project delivery process throughout the stages of delivery, commissioning, and operation, ensuring the seamless execution of this ambitious project.
